Thanks for the feedback Trev, most welcome mate ... will be good to see the pics ... send them to my email addy Trev and I will host them for you..
The pegs themselves are billet alloy what they use on rearsets Trev.. the best we have found at the minute that look OK and do the Job.. Not as beefy as the stockers but just as strong as the Buells ...
Thanks, Dave. I'll send you a set of pix later this evening.
I'm probably not used to aftermarket pegs, that's all. Stock items on the bikes I've owned tend to have been made by the same firm that did Stonehenge, so lightweight stuff is unfamiliar. They seem strong enough.
The clearance between link pipe and the plate is tight, but nothing's touched yet, and I can't see that it's going to, either. Bear in mind that the link pipe on the 2002 onwards bikes is fatter than on earlier FI 'Birds, so that Mr Honda could squeeze the cats in.
The sidestand will clout the bottom of the nearside peg, but I was expecting this, and a blob of weld should cure it.
To answer the question about adjusting the foot controls: the gear lever is on a spline - just take it off and reposition to suit you (a five minute job, and that includes slackening the pinch bolt and drinking the cup of tea). Brake pedal is a bit more of a bastard - adjustment is by threaded rod and locknut. Have a look behind the heel plate and you'll see it. Access isn't easy, but it's not too bad a job (and the skinned knuckle look is
so this season, darling)... I think I'll need to cut the rod to get the pedal where I want it, but it's something I can live with for now.
Like I say, all in all it's well worth it. :yo:
