Just had a reply and have sent a follow up..
Please you lot, jump on the band wagon ! !
From tescos:
This policy was implemented following criminal incidents involving people wearing crash helmets. We have CCTV systems to assist in crime prevention, but these are useless if we are unable to record faces. I can assure you that we do have signs displayed in both our stores and petrol stations, advising people of this policy.
I apologise for the inconvenience this may cause to some of our customers, however, I hope you will now understand the important reason behind this decision.
My reply:
Quite obviously you neither read complaint properly nor I suspect give a damn either.
Your reply does not address any of the points I raised.
If someone is going to rob you they will not take off their crash helmet so all you are doing is penalising the inncoent
Why are signs not up demanding hoodies be removed and indeed Burhka's if it comes to it.
Fortunately the word is spreading about Tescos awful human rights record and I personally have managed to persuade 80 familys in the area not to shop at Tescos any more..
What with the really good exposure in the press Tescos has receieved over the poppy day fiasco , plus other issues of a similar ilk, I would urge you to at least bring this matter to the attention of someone who can do something about it before we take the matter to the national press ( who may or may not be interested, but will keep the info to hand for future use you can bet.)
