In all seriousness it's actually quite helpful at times when used in conjunction with the rear view camera and is clever enough to apply the brakes if something or someone gets in the way.

These quasi-autonomous intelligent aids are all well and good when they work. What worries me is that they cultivate a reliance to the point of dependency in some people and when the system fails, the 'driver' has no clue how to drive without them. This is more likely to be a problem with younger drivers and those who've pass their test in the last five years or so. A problem nonetheless.
