oh oh oh - what make is a sensible one, or is it just buy one that says 'compact 3 season'? I really HATE being cold when camping!!!

The last one I bought was from Blacks in Peterborough, their own brand. You walk into any proper camping shop like Outdoor Adventure or Blacks and ask for the smallest bag they have. Most of the label has worn off to know which one it was. If you're planning to zip two together, get left or right-hand as required. My zip matches the cheaper bag my girlfriend has.

Not got a measuring tape to hand so here's a photo on my messy desk:

But Smix, hun, be warned, you have to roll them up really tight to get them back into the compression sack.

Tip, once you get them back home, remove from bag and fluff up. If you keep them compressed all the time, the filling stays compressed when you remove them and the idea of these hollowfibre bags is that they fill with air to improve insulation.

We bought Coleman bags this time after using a different make for several years, but keeping them compressed. Bad move, as mentioned, they never really recovered.

Alternatively, let auntie Artemis know you want a warm bag if she's taking the sweetie van and she'll bring the US Army 5-season big buggers with her. You'll have to unzip to cool down with them!

Hells Bells Girl, that one was just a bog standard that we keep for Hunter to use for nights out in a heated wagon. The USA beasts are about 10 times warmer!
