Do what we did, go onto ebay and when you see a likely looking one, look up the stats (weight, sizes packed and erected etc), then bid.

Or, look on the various camping websites and find the one that fitds the bill, then go on ebay and search for it.

We had one very similar to Di & Ian's that fitted into a topbox (with poles strapped to the lid), but have sold it to another Ogri member. We now have a very large one that is still light and will still fit in a top box. Ebay again.

Mate.. unless your well off or some sort of tent freak, forget the name game !

Mine came from a DIY shop .. it was ?19.00.. It has been used for the past 4 years all over Europe.. It does not leak, and is easy to put up..

Obviously too small for your needs but my point is unless you are doing north pole things or desert treking, I would just get something that has an inner and outer skin and meets your size needs

I went cheap with a tent once. forgot the material on top shouldn't be on the bottom.

Make sure it the bottom is waterproof or the damp will seep through and rot ya bones, I thought I'd p*ssed meself until I realised it was the the base wasn't waterproof. That added to the fact it was freezing ment we were shivering like a diabetic with a bottle of lucozade...not nice.

Good grief ! Never ever had a tent that did not have a waterprrof bottom ( sounds a tad errr odd that somehow :p )
Even the ?12.00 I grabbed for a weekend when I had lent mine out was waterproof..

Dufus, exactly which brand of cornflakes did your tent come free with ? !! :p !

No matter what tent you buy, I REALLY recommend spending some serious money on a compact 3-season sleeping bag. For around 80 quid you get one than compresses into a third of the size of a regular bag, and keeps you toasty warm down to the negative figures outside. 8ree!
