Fantastic weekend - great to meet up with so many people at last. The whole weekend was fantastic - thanks to everyone that was involved in the organisation. I also blame the nuts for the loss of Saturday night :-: :-: at least the grass has stopped walking around now!!!!!!!!!

Looking forward to the next one

Well,

The Massif were well and truly "BASHED"

Friday was a non event, after the curry it was back to the site, a few beers and bed by 12.30 c7u8

Saturday was better, great rideout, Buzz seems to be slowing down, I could keep up with him  and was great to see you at Hunny, top man. Saturday night was different, We all seemed to have a nut allergy, you had to be there to get this one :puke: so the auction and evenings indoor entertainment was missed, but, saying that, Shrops kept us laughing, Thanks to Taff and Moog for nurse maid duties and also Moog for keeping the Massif presence alive in the clubhouse.

Sunday - recovery/games/recovery/sleep/beer - and then he massif went out to play. A great night in the club, good singsong, Lorna falling over, Anya only making it half way in the tent before going to sleep, a pretty reasonable night

A bit suprised so many people went home on Sunday, but hey, we enjoyed it.

Monday at Duxford was a good one, so much to see and so little time to see it, and my balls were sore

Great to see so many there again this year, and a big up to Jaws and Bert for the weekend. From experience it takes some sorting.

So then, who's going to be at next years BASH ??? :dunno:

We will be, 05 will be better, no nuts :neenaw:

Yeah, great time has been had! Had great fun I can remember on Friday night, plus the one I can't remember, radar working well on Saturday morning ride-out departure in the shape of a 6'6" lanky lad, the face of said lad when seeing that right of rear tyre was covered in oil, feeling what it feels like to ride like reefer on our way back since impossibility to corner with said tyre, the beer and other stuff absorbed to make the auction bearable, winning the lost guy award of the year (although a brand spanking new Garmin Streetpilot would have been nicer than a compass), spending my Sunday wacking the bike open for test-rides after Taffy-Liquid Metal Boy had a go at filling cracks, the joy of her not leeking anymore, the pain of bearing the Midland Massive chants on Sunday night, the nice roads to the planespotters museum, me wondering - as we were walking in said museum - if, if there was a cow called a blackbird would we be visiting a farm...

Special thanks to
* Jaws for loosing his voice - mate you should do that more often you'd have more mates
* Taffy-Liquid Metal Boy for spending most of his Sunday on filling cracks
* Lumpy for being such a diamond as to offer to go to a petrol station or wherever on Saturday night to go and get some Nurofen for me (neck was acting up) - I almost had to knock him out for him to not go - and for him to still think about it next morning and bring back a box of it for me
* Ben for trusting me enough to stay pillion when my tyre was partly covered with oil (although after barfing pizzas the previous day he was now shitting bricks)
* the good bloke at catering who fed me with bacon cheese burgers for three days
* my English teacher for having taught me English well enough for me to be able to say deep meaningful things like "you can't finger a sitting lady"
* and Mister Cragganmore for making me walk funny, crash tents without noticing it and spray holly glowing jism all over whatever was in front of me.

O? Rhino, you left your vehicle at the bash, Jaws said you should go back as soon as poss to pick it up, looks messy on the field - and you should be alright with the brakes on that, nobody fiddled with it while changing the tyres

Dunno how that cover has survived 2 visits from me and not yet had the logo cut out...............

Any takers for next year :dunno: but it's nowt to do with me (officer).
I think a Suzuki Vitara spare wheel cover will have to be sourced as that's the emblem on most of em. :-:

So what was your highlight of the weekend?

Well, the whole weekend was one highlight
I am glad that I have decided to stay untill the Duxford tour. Face to face with the real one was very impressive. :yo:
Catching the ferry afterwards was a peace of cake on my Bird, but I am afraid that I was not too fast for some Gatsos :xm

Just a few minutes before 5 PM I arrived at the ferry so I could ride onboard almost immediatly.
A few stupid questions from the security:
Did I packed in my luggage myself? Of course I did.
Did I leave my luggage out of my sight for a longer period? ehh............................................... Of course I did not (thinking about Duxford  ).

Left the ferry at 8.10 this morning and arrived home at 10.30 with 1296 km more on the clock.
? will be there next year again (for my 5th)

I have a few photos in the Photo Gallery of my site:

Enjoyable Bash

thoroughly enjoyed the BASH, good meeting up with old faces

and the new, special thanks to the hard working organisers and Bert.

Mrs Gats' (Joy) only really came for the Chinese meal, she managed to eat

more than Rhino, and still ate a rack of ribs and chips next morning

(ask Inspector), but she enjoyed your company and now

understands a bit more what this biking thing is about.

Cheers everybody :k
