People leaving, threats being made, vicous rantings over what?. Someone gets offended by the abuse some members give others and then crawls to WIZ about it.

Rhino, all you had to say was - NO - and that was it, job done. Dont chuck your teddy mate it aint worth it. Gawd knows I am PC at work, I dont want to have to be the same here, this is the one place we can all let hang a bit.

Now I wouldnd dream of taking the pi$$ out of a new member right away, I at least have the morals to wait until the newbie had settled in and got the hang of things, but even I am happy to have it ripped out of me (missed gears etc).

just re,read my post, and I seem to be a "little" irate, I apologize for my former aggressive post, and though the option to edit it exists, I stand by my original sentiments, and would ask now in a slightly more conciliatory fashion, exactly who was the complainant to email their complaint to "the headmaster" Wiz,?? and WHY they didn't let their feelings known to the people named in the original post,??
and as far as "Hijacking" is concerned look to this thread and see WHO was first to attempt a "hijack"
no need for an "abuse" forum, the coffee shop is it already, its a rare thing people hijacking the "ridout/help/etc forums" the "banter" is already confined to its Correct thread, or we could start a forum for boring gits, :dunno:

Have to agree with all the positive comments from those that say keep it as it is.The site is great and the banter keeps it alive.C'mon u lot lighten up please.The best thing ive ever done in my life is buy a Bird.The second best thing is joining this site and meeting some great people.Some of these people have or are turning into long time personal friends who have a common interest.
Its ALL !!!!!!!!!!!!!! of us that make this site and club what it is.Dont turn it into a dowdy stuffy club for anoraks.

Question is, does the B.I.R.D. website really want the kind of people who take offence at banter. Personally, I find it seriously entertaining, and a relaxing break from the stresses of work.

Join a bike club, you will be a prospect until the members decide whether you are their sort of person or not. Surely anyone who complains about the banter would not only not enjoy the site, but wouldn't be our sort of person either. Those that don't like it can find another site, surely, instead of trying to change one that is enjoyed by so many.

Same principal really as all those w**kers who buy houses near our airfield, then complain about the noise. If you don't like it STAY AWAY FROM IT.

This is B.I.R.D., warts and all and I, for one, love it.

why not start webcams and saying what you would type in so you could see who you are speaking to. i have never met anyone from this site(due to work) but i would surely give them barracking if i met them. i think its puts new members off i know i felt a bit intimidated, got blackbird, didnt know much about it felt reluctant to join in.

is this site a way to get rid of work stress or is there too much testerone flying round OR is there too much rain to take bird out. lots of tension from people who are normally making people laugh. i like to read the usual wisecracks from them who come straight back with an answers.
