Why is it considered punishment in the forces to peel potatoes? it is actually a task that I don't mind doing, I find it quite therapeutic to the point of being enjoyable.

Oven chips can never taste the same as proper chips done in dripping,
Aunt bessies roasts are just a convenience for the idle, how can you compare them to properly prepared taties roasted round the joint?
Smash has improved a lot since I was a kid, however it pales into insignificance alongside my own mashed spuds (behave Robbo I know what you are going to say) as bert says spuds mashed in Lurpak and milk :lick:
