Speeding points

I have proof of getting away with speeding - you just need a vehicle faster than theirs and false plates*

* Do not try this when the helicopter is up!


** I might have made this up if anyone gets seriously upset.

I would add a hired Mustang GT in Florida is no match for traffic cops in a helicopter !!
In 1990 I was asked for my ID, by a policeman, while refuelling ...
not a problem I thought and when he said I was doing 75 in a 55mph zone, I was puzzled
Until he pointed skywards (and then gave me a fine) .... a police copter was hovering overhead, it had followed me and got me over a timed distance !

I've still got the letter that I received from Hampshire Police stating that they had decided not to proceed with prosecuting me for speeding on the M27.
Might have been something to do with the fact that I wrote to the Chief Constable pointing out that the police vehicle which pulled me was doing about 1 or 2 mph less than me.

Twas one of life's rare little victories.

Not uncommon here in the UK either.

We used to work with the paraffin budgie crew on a regular basis on the M4 as it also has VASCAR fitted.

Not used so much these days because of costs.
