Certainly do. Not as much as I'd like too but it certainly gets used. Europe as well.

All the alloy on it is mirror polished and it's not as difficult to upkeep as a lot of folk imagine... but I do have the advantage of an insulated garage which helps a lot when it comes to the winter.

Just about every nut and bolt that is visible is titanium (s/s around the brakes) and they stay like new forever it seems. Fairing fixings and bungee points are chromed so they don't go off either.

Nice pipes, nice bike

I'm a newbie round here and recent convert to the joys of BB ownership, and this forum, having "graduated" from the VFR section.
I was interested to see the pipes as I'm watching some on fleabay right now. Your pic does them more justice than the seller's!
I had Fuel pipes on the VFR and they were awesome, but race cans with no baffles and a bit too loud really. These have removable baffles I believe? Any need to modify the fuelling set up at all? How would you describe the sound... ?
Interested to hear your comments... :yo:

Yes Clarky, they do have removable baffles. Looking at their website all their cans have removable baffles but I don't know how long they been like that so couldn't be sure about the ones you're watching. Prob have though.

No need to change anything on an Injected model, not sure about a carbed one.

As for the sound, I just fitted them Sunday night and had first ride out with them yesterday with baffles still in. Sound was a nice respectable growl, quite subtle, just a little louder than standard cans.

Haven't tried without baffles yet. Maybe tomorrow evening if I get home from work early enough :lick:

What did strike me about them [as Jaws used to say when he sold them] was the finish on 'em. Absolutely stunning finish, better than you could wish for - the best polished s/steel I've ever seen.

It's paint. Done by a chap down in Swindon near where I had the polishing done. It's his version of Candy Red - and it's quite close too. Don't know who he was though 'cos the painting was subbed out by the polishers.

Nice looking bike there Rob, How long did that lot take you?

Are the footrest hangers, brake lever, heel guards etc etc all just polished ally? and are they laquered? also are the wheels, forks & swing arm laquered too, or do you just use gallons of elbow grease?

Just wonderin as I would like to do a bit of polishing work to mine.

Fork legs, front and rear hangers, footpegs, gear and brake levers, heel plates, susp link plates, swing arm, and wheels are all polished. None of it is lacquered. Other bits like the fairing fasteners, wheel spacers, ends of the axle tubes, bungee points etc were all chromed.

It was all done over three years ago along with the painting of the wheel centres, Ohlins rear shock fitment, Ohlins front springs fitment, brake delinking, braided hoses fitment, nuts & bolts changeout, undertray fitment, hugger and screen fitment, lighting changes (clears, led's etc), clock face replacement, and exhaust replacement (to 2 x Akrapovic Titanium ovals at the time.)

I planned and saved up the dosh during the warranty period and the moment the bike hit two years old we stripped it did it all in one go! Bike was off the road for about 5-6 days.

This is how it looked at the end of day one... That was a bit of an unexpected low point seeing the bike looking like that. I remember thinking 'oh shit! what AM I doing' and it got further stripped than this as the rear shock and clocks were removed - clocks were then opened up to change the faces.
