I think you'll find Mr Tax man gets the "dosh" off you for the wine and Brandy as well as the "cancer sticks" :}
and just think when all the smokers become "non" smokers, all that tax money saved by the NHS for NOT having to treat smoking related diseases, well all be quids in

Selfish gits.....................

If someone smokes thats a poison THEY choose to take AND they know the dangers of it......... I had a Chinese on Sunday night and luckily no ignorant smoker spoilt it for me :yo:

This subject is very high on my rant list
Why shouldn't you go outside for YOUR cig, i don't want one so don't make me smoke it.
Outside in the street is the place for fags, you don't run the bike in the house do you :dunno: NO, coz its minging and poisonous.
I've banned it from my house and car so EMMA now has to stand outside with the door shut to have one.........as much as i care about her i'll not allow it inside :t

BRING IT ON

Quite right but you must admitt that its not fair to FORCE the cigs on NON smokers.......
You wouldn't let a child smoke..............why??

Coz its bad for them..

Don't make ME smoke it then as i don't like it or want it..

Not forcing it on anyone~~~

no problem with segregated sections in pubs/clubs/restaurants

in fact.....when eating out I PREFER to be in non-smoking

So why make it illegal? I object to the Nanny state telling me what I can and can't do legally

As for Robbo's comment about savings on the NHS - complete bollox - for me I pay for private health care

That's borrox Bert, as you well know...

...... you'll get a bit of initial protest avoidance but it wont take long for everybody to drift back into the pubs etc, they'll just go outside for a smoke, - you included!

They banned smoking oer here about a year ago. It is based on the establishment's percentage of income derivied from food sales, not sure what the percentage is. At that percentage, no smoking, if the under, smoking permitted. All of the predictions of bars and restaurants closing has just not happened. In fact it is quite nice to come home at 2 in the morning drunk as shit and not reeking of cigarette smoke. A breath of fresh air as it were.
Carry on!!!

stress?

people use the excuse of smoking as a relief from stress and pressure, a bit like a release from problems to calm them down. on this footing, why do people smoke in pubs and restaurants when thy are out with their friends or loved ones having a beer and a good night out. suppose to be out enjoying the evening not so stressed out to need 20 fags. smoking when with someone who doesnt smoke is more anti social than anything else , but smokers never consider that. its ok saying seperate areas, but if u smoke and ur mate doesnt you will be shouting from one end of the pub to the other. The answer is, if u want to do it, do it in ur own space, on ur own time and waste ur own life.

Bert non smoking sections in a restaurant are like having a pissing section in the swimming baths.

I don't like having a nanny state telling me what to do either but I dont like some obnoxious Twat blowing smoke in my direction either when I'm eating or having a drink in the pub.

So what ever happened to my civil liberty then???

Or does it not apply if I am in a minority?

Could I put a claim in for discrimination?

What about the drug companies when we have all packed up what will they do with all those patches and packets of chewing gum?

Chewing gum - an abhorrent habit that I personally can't stand and is costing millions to remove from our pavements. The government should outlaw that!!

Are they biodegradable or will they become an environmental issue?

Does anyone give a flying F***?

Don't bother replying as I know the answer to Life The Universe and Everything its 42

Chewing gum WTF , its good for your teeth and doesn't give you cancer and smelly clothes...........so what if it sticks around a while c7u8 so do fag dimps,, millions of the bloody things..

Civil liberties  what about the non smokers right to NOT inhale your crap in a closed environment such as a pub/ resteraunt etc..
Do what you like as long as it doesn't involve me...
My dad has angina and won't go into a smokey pub, so the smokers have in effect caused him to stay away :t its not fair, its blatantly rude and inconsiderate. OUTSIDE is the place (if you need to at all) for fags.

I hope the Matlock Meal is smoke free or i shall not be staying!! :t
