Its great to see all the messages of support for Al & B at this time. One thing Rolfy has not mentioned is that Simzie has been told that he will not be able to ride the bike for up to a year, so hopefully we will be able to get him to the bash via a car, so that means he will be able to bring a boot sized cake :neenaw: .
So the massif will be raising a glass or two at DB's party.

If thoughts, wishes and prayers are anything to go by, the amount that you will receive from this site alone should mean that Al will be up and boogying by Saturday night !!LOL
On a serious note, we both add our thoughts and prayers to all those already sent and are sure Al will make a quick and safe recovery.
We look forward to the good news and the return of Al to the site, we're thinking of you mate.

Latest news !!!!!
Al is comfortable but totally bored to death in hospital....The docs have done absolutely nothing else since his tests yesterday. which means.....
"HE COULD HAVE COME TO THE PARTY" :beer:
If I get finished early enough tomorrow, I will go up to the hospital, kick their(the docs) arses, and give Al the "get well" card which the massiff all signed at DB's party, and pass on your good wishes.........
On a more fun note, Al would have loved the shenanigans with all the helium filled balloons at the party on Saturday night... A great deal of impersonations were performed by various members of the massiff.... You never know, but Shrops has some of them on video, and it may be possible to upload it to the forum... Very much worth a watch, if we can get it online.....

Hospital Food BAD NEWS!!!
Well if the hospital food that i had, is anything to go by when i was in hospital for over a month last year, then i suggest Bridget takes in some food with her for Al.
But here's wishing Al all the best and we are thinking of you. You will be ok and pull through. Your one yell of a fighter.

Hope you are back on your feet/bike soon mate.
I know it is difficult times for you all at the moment but it will sort out sooner rather than later.

Hi all,
sorry for the delay, but we had a powercut yesterday, and I didnt get home till 2000hrs fromn seiing AL at the Queen Elizabeth hospital.
Well, he has had his "op", and is in the critical care unit. His op was a complete success, and all the "growth" was removed from underneath his brain. He was still unconcious when I left the hossie last night. He had some swelling of his brain (we know, no one thought he had one, but he has- the surgion told me so...LOL) but that is now subsiding, and he is doing very well...
I passed all your best wishes onto bridget, and have spoken inperson to Als closest freinds in the Massiff. So keep you fingers crossed for him, and your prayers going... Its working

Just as I have posted the last message, the phone rang...
He's Awake !!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Bridget has just come out and rung me..... Al is awake... hows about that for timing ???????
The nurse was giving him a bit of a clean up, when his eyes opened, and he wanted the tube removing from his mouth.....
Bridget is absolutely over the moon, and I wanted to pass this info on to you lot straight away.....That is the second hurdle in his recovery... The swelling of his brain (and the pressure danger) seems to have subsided, and now he is awake, and although not entirely lucid, at least aware of his surroundings...
This is wonderful news for all their family & friends in BIRD, and I am sure you will all celebrate it in your own way...
Keep the messages coming in, as I will print this string off, and take it in with me later in the week when I visit again...
