Scuttlebutt (where does that word come from, nautical origin?) in the aviation world is that there's still a long way to go.
UN/Human Rights organisations have apparently said although UK law has been changed that only applies within UK borders.
Once out of UK airspace carriers will be subject to international laws and possible prosecution/sanctions.
They also may be refused flight plans over countries that object.
It seems a number of UK airlines have been approached for the flights.
Most likely to do it would seem to be Air Tanker as they are under contract to MOD for troop movements and in flight refuelling.
They have a juicy MOD contract that pays them well yet still allows them (while being paid by MOD) to hire out as long as MOD aren't using them.
They've been doing a lot of work for Jet2 last year with it increasing a lot this year.
Problem is Jet2 are believed not to want to be associated with an aircraft doing Rwanda flights and their passengers would not be happy getting on an aircraft they've just seen on the news taking deportees to Rwanda.
Other mentioned carrier is Titan, they do a lot work taking premiership football teams around!!
Looks like any carrier doing these flights will want mega big bucks to compensate as they are likely to lose whatever other work they have. Having said that UK government will be footing the bill - saving face before a general election is worth any price!
I still think the government aren't actually that bothered, it's all noise to distract the plebs.
