I am a big Rossi fan but given his time again I suspect he wouldn't do what he did. Whichever way you look at it Rossi was the cause of the specific incident regardless of what exactly caused the off. Rossi sat up and looked over more than once at the other rider while going massively off line - I would guess that is why he was penalised.

Somehow I suspect the final round may have a few twists before it is over........ Let's hope so

He went back in time & destroyed the Daleks but they still managed to come back, he went back to Victorian London & destroyed some monsters.

Only the other week he mixed it with some Vikings so he's always altering the course of the he future, he just denies doing so.

Just watching a film called Hitting the Apex.
It is well worth a watch... and after you watch it, come back and try to defend Marquez.. He may be a great rider, but he has managed to get where he is in the main by knocking people off

After watching his antics in Moto2 I have absolutely ZERO respect for the bloke

And it said tactics on a couple of occasions were absolutely identical to his latest stunt
Taken the history in to account, watching previous stuff he has done and rewatching this incident, I do not know about starting from the back, I think it is time he copped for a several race total ban..

I know people will say he rides aggressively and it is his style.. But at what cost to every other rider on track ?

It IS Rossi.. what I am saying is that looking at the riding Marquez has repeatedly demonstrated I think they have the wrong man at the back of the grid ..

Last year Marquez stopped Pedrosa ( Sp ? ) from taking the championship because he rode up the back of him and broke the traction sensor causing Pedrosa to crash

Bloke has had so many warnings about his riding it is really a bit of a joke

Are you sure he would be asking for the judgement to stand or allowed to be appealed ??

Perhaps he wanted to do the right thing ?
I mean, if the punishment stands and he ( Lorenzo) takes the championship, he will likely have 'he only won it cos Rossi had to start from the back' ringing in his ears for a long time to come

I don't think Lorenzo cares how he wins it - he has already said that Rossi should have had a harsher penalty.
A harsher penalty for Rossi ( Points removed for meeting ) would have handed Lorenzo the championship at the last race meeting.

Yeah but I think he needs a miracle. I,m praying that Marquez takes Lorenzo out at the first corner but in reality i think the Honda riders will be told not to get involved in anyway

I also read that they are still deciding if the current penalty is correct - or if it should be altered.

However - they are not going to decide on any alteration ( if any ) until after the race meeting.

SO - lets say Rossi by some miracle gets enough points to take the championship. Have these guys built themselves a mechanism to then give that championship to Lorenzo ?

That's the way it sounds eh (from reading noobie's link)..... also assuming lorenzo has a decent race too. He could fall off or any number of reasons for a crap race or even a dnf :dunno:.

Apparently it has been done before when a certain Marc Marques received penalty points for causing an accident, he had to start at the back of the grid (at Valencia) and he went on to win the race. So it isn't unheard of.
