Who's gonna be the first to blink? Hayden? Rossi?

(I think we know, don't we, people? :-: )

Danny dumped Nicky  and Tony turned the tables on Rossi! k1ap

I've repeated myself so often on the quality and drama of this season's racing that I can't think of any more superlatives to describe what a fan-TAS-tic event took place at Estoril where, before our very eyes, Pedrosa perpetrated what may turn out to become the greatest error ever in the history of MotoGP. (We were in stand "E", right on the corner where it happened! :yo: )

Now: VALE-ncia, where, if Hayden wins and Pedrosa finishes second, Rossi's title dream will come to an end. If Valentino finishes directly behind Hayden then the title will be his for the THIRD CONSECUTIVE YEAR on the bike that no-one else could ride.

Ya 'mo BE there!!! :yo:

2006 MOTOGP RIDERS' CHAMPIONSHIP (AFTER ROUND 16 OF 17)

1. VALENTINO ROSSI CAMEL YAMAHA TEAM 244
2. NICKY HAYDEN REPSOL HONDA TEAM 236
3. MARCO MELANDRI FORTUNA HONDA 217
4. LORIS CAPIROSSI DUCATI MARLBORO TEAM 209

7. COLIN EDWARDS CAMEL YAMAHA TEAM 117

Hayden wins:236+25=261
Rossi third: 244+16=260

Hey, Stan, I reckon if Hayden wins, Rossi must finish in second place ? some might say it's a simple job of following Hayden home.

Just remember though: it ain?t over till it?s OVER, and the way things have developed so far I wouldn?t be too surprised if we got a few more shocks at VALEncia-aaa-hhh-ha-ha-ha-harrrrrrr! :lick: :p :}

'Big pressure' - Rossi faces first title showdown

"Pedrosa's body language was disgraceful. Barely looking to see if Nicky was injured, he just flicked his hands as if brushing a wasp away. No apology at all. It looked so wrong that maybe it was some malicious plan all along... I sincerely hope not."

No-one ever wrote off Rossi's title chances when he was 51 points behind Hayden after America, so why should people when Nicky is just eight back of Rossi now.

Toby Moody

...Come on...

...COME O-O-n , VALE!!

Having nearly fully recovered from Mini me's whoopsie ooopps dais.. the words of Moody have put a smile back on my face ... just :p

Nicky can still do it. He has to put his Laguna head on and stuff 'em. Maybe the best thing about Valencia is that it is in Spain and that'll give him extra motivation to stick it ahead of Pedrosa and ahead of Rossi - whom he beat last year. Whatever happens, Honda has to have a plan for Valencia

so never say die heres my top 4

1 Hayden
2 mini me
3 Elias
4 Rossi

Nicky loves this track and its a left hander as well so he is still in with a great shout .. lot depends on what others do around him b0x1

D.A. have a great time ..you lucky b**&^%^* and have a cold one for me mate..

cos you will be toasting to the NEW WORLD CHAMP man8um

Can't leave you to fight alone Dave!

Much as I can't see it happening, I hope Hayden wins the title.

Perhaps, just perhaps, the 'Greatest Ever Rider', with the best crew chief, riding the best supported bike will be worried and concerned that he ain't as good as he thinks he is. Maybe he'll have some self doubt because they all can't manage (and boy have they had enough time) to sort the bike.

It's Rossi's to lose.

If he does lose, will it mean he isn't the greatest?

Perhaps, just perhaps, the 'Greatest Ever Rider' (True!), with the best crew chief (True!), riding the best supported bike OH-HHH-hhh, yeah!! An all-new bike that?s just about a season old!! will be worried and concerned that he ain't as good as he thinks he is (Six-times World Champion. You?re right?.?E?s CRAP!!!). Maybe he'll have some self doubt because they all can't manage (and boy have they had enough time) to sort the bike. YEP ? sounds right ta me!!! Yamaha are rubbish. After building a brilliant bike, they?ve messed it up?Just like Honda, the company that?s managed to bugger-up a Rossi-less RCV that?s had trillions spent on it over the past three years! These Japanese manufacturers? They?ve NO IDEA?!!!

It's Rossi's to lose. Yeah. First time he?s led the championship ? (is it a 51 point lead?) - he won?t lose it.
If he does lose, will it mean he isn't the greatest? If I were you I?d be praying that he WINS it. ?Cos if he loses this, he?s gonna be winning it for the next FIVE years instead of the next ONE. All he needs is the motivation to continue.man8um

Well I am humbled  by the esteem and high regard which you hold me in bestowing on me this title ye bunch of turnipheads!! (Not you OLDBULL cos you're OK!)
Its the other two I'm on about and they know who they are - don't ya?
Yes Eric just as you say I have had my beady eye on you, and the other one, the one with the short legs previously hiding overseas in the mangos playing with his swamp nuts :p
So down to the nitty gritty...
Rossi will win the title cos he is, without doubt, the jammiest bastid that ever threw his leg over a bike. I really, really want Hayden to win and want Rossi to get a punture or run wide on one of the bends by about 15 miles and then the security department run by Sete himself not to let him back in.
So from the President himself I shall bid you fond farewell for a short while as me marmite soldiers are ready... all a bit like Rossi really, ya either love it or ya hate it!

Hi LEBS, the trip was the most challenging (and enjoyable) that we've had in a long time. I'll put a tale together when we get back from Valencia - it might take me a little time to recover from celebrating Valentino's Victory, but I promise I'll get around to it as soon as I'm sober!

Thank Goodness?! It?s great to see that EL PRESIDENTE has managed to extricate himself from his bunker and that he is safe, well and as barmy as ever! I was beginning to worry that he had suffered a direct hit from all the FLAK that?s been flying around recently. :shooter:
Fortunately, EL PRESIDENTE has been much luckier than NICOLA, who DID suffer a direct hit from all the PEDROSA that was flying around in Estoril ? let?s hope Daniella has got the stabilisers fitted for the last race in VALE-ncia (sorry M8 - couldn?t resist!).

Even at Estoril, Hayden had the look of a beaten man, and in MCN this week he?s whimpering ?I can still win it.? Christ, he should be spittin? flames and defiance  but, from his demeanour, you?d think HE was the one who had been trailing in the championship since the first race of the season!

You?d think HE was the one who?d fought back ? despite many setbacks - from a fifty-one point deficit.

You could even be forgiven for thinking that HE was the one who had brought victory to his team for two years, virtually single-handedly.

But he?s NOT:

Hayden's just the jammy bugger who inherited the most sought-after ride in MotoGP ? only to discover that he can?t replicate the level of success achieved by ?THE GREATEST MOTORCYCLE RACER OF ALL TIME?:

VALENTINO ROSSI

Eat his DUST, Hayden!

...Well ? I?m off to Valencia now ? R#?

I desperately wish i was going to VALEncia too, my situation wouldn't allow it as my spare cash is tied up at present :bang:
Instead, myself and a select handfull of associates are getting our local watreing hole opened up earlier to accomodate us for the whole GP experience.
A dash of Manchesters finest and a back of 'Nobby's Nuts then light the blue touch paper :-:

What ever the outcome, 2006 has been THE closest racing i've witnessed.
A lot of respect goes to ALL the riders, technicians and so on involved in the series.

Hayden

Well dont blame Hayden, he has been the best rider this year by far and if he looses the title it's Hondas fault, not his.
He has ridden a different bike in every race, and to have a 51 point lead and then still have Honda give him a Lego bike and not a proper one beggars belief, IMHO Honda are shite.
They even let the Monkey Man go, Christ knows what for?
And of course all you lot that have Blackbirds will have noticed that Honda is bustin' a gut trying to get the new model out - NOT!!
So to recap, Rossi is just a Jammy Bastid. man8um
PS Have a good trip this weekend..I will email very soon. :k
