Answering to nobody
I think SETE gained a whole lot of respect from folk when he pulled out a string of victories following the loss of the late great 'KATO'.
Sete won out of anger, he had the bit between his teeth and raced hard, he now seems to have slipped backwards as the anger has turned to frustration.

'Emilio Alzamora' was more charismatic than any of the current Spanish riders, a true sportsman win or lose.

Rossi has flair, not arrogance.
Rossi has skill, not luck (mostly)
Rossi is a thinker, if that fails he uses force.

Will there ever be another ROSSI, the full package.

There already is another Rossi - he's called Dani, and when the 800's come in he'll be unbeatable d04l1ng

'ROFLMAO'

Danny will NEVER be another 'ROSSI' as long as i have a hole in my arse.
He may put wins in, he may even win the 2007 title BUT it takes more than wins to be 'ROSSI's replacement.
'ROSSIMANIA' has swept the world and he's s star, 'Pedrosa' will just be a motorcycle racer who is good, very good.

There's no way i'd travel across Europe to watch 'Pedrosa's miserable mug, i go to see a showman at work, an artist, a DOCTOR. :yo:

Totally agree.
Rossi is a god.
I used to think the same of Ago, but IMO Rossi is the greatest motorcycle racer ever. Statistics aside, he has talent, skill, intelligence, determination, stamina and charisma.
It will take a very special individual to come anywhere near Valentino.
While there are some amazing riders waiting in the wings, I don't see anyone to compare with Rossi.

Still kickin' it!
I have no doubt that Rossi - after he has retired ? will be bracketed in the same illustrious company as Surtees, Hailwood, Agostini, Spencer/Rainey, Roberts/Sheene and Doohan. Equally, I have no doubt that, with the benefit of hindsight, Rossi will be elevated (and deservedly so) to the highest status of ?The Champion?.

I?ve compared Rossi to the incomparable Ali and, although Rossi falls far, far short of that mark, he still scores impressively in all my categories.

Categorical Fear factor: excellent
Skill factor: excellent
Self-development and self-awareness: excellent
Self-management + Resilience (?Biting the Bullet?, ?Meeting the Challenge?, ?Delivering the Goods?): matchless
Communication skills: excellent
Extended Performance Status: excellent
Sporting Environmental Impact: excellent

As a racing motorcyclist, Rossi is the best we?ve seen because he continues to reign supreme even though the competition against him has been so great, and so varied, while the margins for error have consistently diminished. There has also arisen the unique circumstance whereby not only has Rossi been required to conquer the human opposition to his dominance but also, in Honda, the might of a manufacturer of worldwide power.

Like Ali ? although to a much lesser degree ? Rossi chose to follow a steep, unrecognised and rocky path that only he possessed the vision to recognise. At the end of that path (so I am told) is a sign that reads:

No matter what you do, even if you beat me: you will never beat me into submission.

The sign has Ali?s signature on it ? and the signatures of many others.

Way down, near the bottom of the board, I believe there?s a small place reserved for Rossi?s initials.

Looks like another fantastic build-up to what could be a wet race (remember Phillip Island!). :lick: It?s very interesting to see how some of the other teams have anticipated, and embraced, Team Camel Yamaha?s new tactic of committing to a qualifying tyre early in the proceedings. It just goes to show how Rossi and his team have had to rack their brains in order to level out the playing field after a season that might best be described as "catastrophic" in terms of the M1?s failure in no less than four races.

Thank God it happened ? it?s given us another brilliant season of MotoGP?!!! :yo:

See you at 6am tomorrow!

There was.. from Honda, and the governing body went to Hayden to
apologise for cocking up.. but there was nothing they can do now except say sorry :eek: as the race is over ..

should have been demoted to behind the rider that he illegaly overtook and had the points acordingly..race over or not.. thats what it says in the rules.. the proper rules that is, not Rossi's d34l

(does that count as a bite) :p

Thing is though

I thought Rossi let Stoner get back in front,,, so according to the rules no crime to answer,, he got past on a yellow flag,, realised & let Stoner back in.
Amazes me that stoner & mini me are critisising Rossi for being to aggressive on over taking,,,, FFS,, this is Moto GP,, how the hell do they think he has won in soooooooooooooooooooooo many races. :tosser:

BTW,, I think that was one hell of a bite :p

he cheats... Stoner never got back in front and Rossi certainly wasnt going to let him.. he did try tho but wasnt good enough.. He didnt just pass on a yellow flag tho, he passed 3 marshall post all frantically WAVING yellow flags which every other rider and the rest of the world saw
If there was no crime to answer then why did the race directorite go up to Hayden and apologise for f***in up ??? sorry Nicky we just cocked up, hope you dont mind too much if it costs you the title man8um

is there race rules or isnt there ..level playing field is all Im asking here

btw.. Loris is going to long gone again, in the race tomorrow.. the cheat and Nicky will be battling for second place... probably pick his moment and knock him off like he usually does g0nn3

I know Ive got a bite...feels like a big un :lick:

Tomorrows race will finish;

1) KR jr

2) Hopkins

3) Vale

4) Capirossi

5) Poison Dwarf

6) Gibernau

7) Nakano

DNF; Hayden & guests

THAT is my fantasy finish.

...Well..you were almost close, M8... :p

...But at least you're making your opinions known! g0551p

...2 races to go... !!

...Only 12 points the difference!

PRESSURE!

They?re all susceptible to it! Even Vale looked tired and drawn in contrast to Capi?s elation and Marco?s laid-back (?n? chillin?in the comfort zone ?! :} ) appearance at the post-race interviews!!

In contrast, it?s even more interesting to see that Pedrosa, Melandri, Hayden and one or two others are now copying Rossi?s so-called ?distress signal? of left foot off the peg when they think they?re entering a left-hander at a rate ?beyond their experience or expectations?.

PRESSURE!

Estoril?and VALEncia?!!

?Strange how the last race contains his name?eh? :-:

Needless to add: ?The Silence of the Graphites (ES)? speaks VOLUMES! (Hmmm-mmmmmm????!!!) g0nn3

Well I'm here you bloody lot of mongrels.
Been on holiday but I'm glad to see you've missed me w;;v now down to business!
Well I like Oldbull - he speaks the truth. Rossi :tosser: will never be the best as he cheats too much.
True enough, Rossi could still win this years championship, but it's really more a case of Honda giving it away (51 lead) and not Rossi winning. Capirossi and Melandri have been winning the races, and if Honda had really wanted to win the championship they should have given Nicky a bike like Pedrosa's or Melandri's so he could wrap the title up, but I'm sad to say they wanted Pedrosa to win and not Nicky. Even with just a couple of races to go Honda will persist in giving Nicky a Honda Lego bike to ride.
I reckon Ducati wanted Nicky but Nicky, the fool, made a wrong choice.
Should he have gone with Ducati, whose 2007 bike is already as fast as this years and be treated to the top bike for next year or stay with a Lego Honda and be shit on all the time.... ummm, let me think.
It's a no-brainer, I know what I would have done..
Honda are making too many mistakes like letting Rossi go to Yamahahaha, and giving Nicky a lego bike, they have alwaye been the same.
So there you have it - innit!!

Wa-he-ey..I got a bite! Hope you had a guddun and ?welcome home?, ya smooth talkin? bastid! :p

No need for me to respond to the jibes about Rossi?s prowess: whether he wins the championship or not, after giving Hayden/Honda a four race and a fifty-one point lead earlier this season, the fact that he?s only twelve points behind with two races to go speaks for itself.

Yep: that?s a fact, buddy ? not your anti-Rossi fiction! :-:

It?ll be "three many" when Rossi wins his third consecutive title, M8!!!

Hmmm?Pedrosa inherits Rossi?s bike and is hailed as a great prospect: as long as it doesn?t rain, eh?! (At least he had the good manners to move out of Vale's way when he was geddin' lapped at Pillip Island...Remember? If you don't; look it up: it's a matter of record!!! d34l )

Hayden inherits Rossi?s bike and suddenly it?s a lego bike. Blimey: Come back, "moanin? Max"?we thought you were bad till Graphite and Oldbull got together!!

The truth is: Rossi is the greatest motorcycle racer in history.

Unfortunately, as I?ve said before:
