Wanna bet mister Murph ;-0))
Honda produced the Blackbird 1996 to 2007 and the only modification introduced during that time was the change from carburetion to fuel injection. After two test rides I reckon that ?out of the box?, the 2009 Kawasaki ZZR 1400 out-performs the 1996 Blackbird in every way (as it should), apart from build quality. Try one and see what you think.Hmmm cant fully agree with that see'in as you never had a sorted un mate...

Can?t wait! :yo:
...I was still grinning and shitting myself when I got home....
I may well consider the same sort of bikes as you just have DA....but when I'm a lot older I think....
...the ZZR is very old technology that doesn't handle and doesn't corner well and doesn't seem very comfortable over long distances - bring it down to West Wales and I'll let you have a go on a Viffer 1200 that now returns 190 miles to a tank bimbling quickly along at 90-100mph - as well as leaving 2 x GTR14's eating dust
He's only got a viffer 'cos there's nowhere to put a sat nav :-0)
Not true Dave - Honda factory one come pre-installed - as well as the Honda heated grips
Kin expensive as well!
Why's it need a sat-nav :dunno:actually
With that tank range you can still see where you left from :-0)
Whats it like fully laden ?? not like the Pan I hope ..2 tea bags and a pair of flip flops and your over weight
Is this "tank range" bollox (no offence D&D )being confused with "tank capacity" c.f the Birds fuel consumption?
If it really is a "tourer", it'll be interesting to see the "fully-laden two-up" figures. Remember, Honda wouldn't let the Comic thrash one around Spain, not so long ago. Why not? :dunno:
Go and flippin? ride one, Timmo ? it?s free (and if you prang the bugger you'll just make it look a bit less offensive). They really are a hoot to ride through the twisties ? and the ?roundabout-knee-downers? will probably love them, too. If you?re actually going to ride more than fifty miles at a stretch, though, you might need to take precautions against repetitive stress injuries, such as ?Vibration White Finger?:
Use of vibrating equipment and power tools is the primary cause of Vibration White Finger. Some of the main culprits are: pneumatic drills, jack hammers, sanders, concrete vibrators, chainsaws, compactors and VFR1200?s.
(By the way: you might want to issue a stronger denial on the ?incontinence? thing there, Tim. I wasn?t too convinced ? and you know how folk love to gossip on here? ;-0)) )

The VFR's tank takes 4.9 gallons doesn't it....AND has the ability to run less cyclinders under low load...so does anyone KNOW how a tank full will do on a VFR 1200?..
...and this mileage will vary with the way it's ridden too wont it?
Can't remember now ( yes, really), what the mileage should be on a Bird....years ago I got about 200 miles...until Quiney and a few other buggers showed me the light...and now under certain "conditions" can get around 120 miles to a tankfull. It's all relative isn't it?
