I once flashed my flights at an oncoming biker to warm him the plod was ahead of him. It was a bloody police bike. I felt SO stupid. c7u8

I once asked a policeman if it was frowned upon to warn other drivers of speed traps..
He said that in the eyes of the law I am possibly commiting an offence ( obstructing a police officer in the line of duty? Perverting the course of justice? Maybe even conspiricy ?? No idea ).. but in reality most police recognise that you are effectively doing their job for them.. They are not actually there to catch speeders, but to slow people down and make them aware of their speed..

Me too, always nod unless I'm busy. Been out through Yorkshire today and there were LOADS of bikes out, most nodding in return. I usually find though that the nods get fewer the older the biking season gets.

err... Didn't you used to own one at some stage? :f :k
Thanks a lot for the ride yesterday in your lovely countryside, was good fun, the girl found it a bit to much, she would have preferred a stroll to have time to have a look at the coutrnyside, the manors etc, told her we took it reasonably easy (although not all the time, well for me anyway, especially when I messed up my line and found a 4X4 in front of me, Andy must have laughed witnessin that!), Ben thanks a lot for the hospitality, the brew, and it was great to finally meet your family!), Andy I hope your cramp is gone by now, mine is  let's do that again soon, this time with no pillion to squeeze what should be left alone when you ride proactively!!!! :yo:

yep, I owned a tractor for 3 years having accumulated 11 pts on a ZZR1100 (throttle control problem  ).
The tractor meant I got my points total back to 0 within 3 years and it gave me an insight into exactly how ignorant those Hardly-do-it owners are! Don't like to generalise, but I'd say 80% are complete toss pots 8l1nd
