My Top 3 has to be

  1. Avro Vulcan Bomber (spent many days and cold nights guarding these feckers
  2. English Electric Lightening
  3. B-2 SPIRIT STEALTH BOMBER Saw its very first appearence in this country a few years ago. In a crowd of 100,000 you could hear a pin drop as it flew by, awesome)

if you didn't take it before, take the bike - it saves loads of time. i've been for the last three years now, (although i don't usually arrive until 1ish on the fri, sat, sun). getting away is suddenly a total breeze :p

It's even quicker (and cheaper) when you take a Hunter and a Gnat with you. They have a special route in for ground & air crew and you get a great view from the active side!

We were there in 2002 as well. Hunter had just come out of hospital and had been told to avoid crowds (because of infection) so, of course, he went to Fairford. Not many crowds there, is there? He also managed to get some video footage of the B-2 Spirit there.

SWMBO's let me loose on her laptop! My PC's still out of action because SHE hasn't fixed it yet.

Nothing beats an FGA9, with four drop tanks, doing a high-speed low run with a perfect blue note.

OK, who can name this ugly little fecker then?

No Ian, not Derek, or Lumpy or Bert. Did a quick edit there as I noticed the Reg was visible and I know how you lot like to cheat, so Sugar Lips has just done some obscuring (she's good at that) and here's the ugly little fecker.

Great picture Baz.

I had my camera ready too....... and then just stared at it and forgot about the picture! :bang:

You're right about it grabbing attention though. I was in the 'Waitrose Garden' (as they called it!) and it just fell utterly quiet
