Mum used to watch the original series, we loved the Aiden tuurner remake.

I was saddened to see that Robert Hardy had died in 2017 he was the original Seigfried Farnon in All Creatures Grunt and Smell, but then he was quite old by then.

I seemed to be able to stay up a little later after coming home from cubs.
It was a fairley long walk home (none of the being picked up like they do nowadays) .
I would get in just before 9 so was able to stay up and watch it.
I would have been 10-11.
