This is what keeps my Blackbird company in my garage. Its a 1997 ZRX1100R. Is got many many mods, too much to list here...lots of engine mods & suspension tweaks. It started life in dark purple & i gave it the "Lawson" paintjob. I tend to ride it on sunny days in the summer...its that kind of bike...and i use the Blackbird for everything else...!
I hope you "approve" of it. I know its not a Honda, but it really is a lovely bike which is constantly "evolving" & being modified & is great fun to own & a totally different experience to the Blackbird. . . which is nice. . . R#?

w;;v And on the same theme, here's my Blackbird companion. It's a 1996 Honda CB1000FS. Not as sporty as your Kwacker but I love it and it's nice to say you have 'Big One'.

NICE NICE NICE, would love to own a big naked muscle bike for playing out on.

Did look at an X11 (naked BIRD) a few weeks back before i bought my new Kwak.

Thats lovely Fairb. The Big One's from the Kwak Zephyr era - another fine old bike.
The naked "muscle bikes" really are great fun to own & modify. Not so practical,or such a consumate all rounder as the Bird...but then theyre not trying to be.
The X11 is another fine bike...but its NOT a naked Blackbird(different frame, rear bodywork, engine tune etc etc...)and its also NOT a "muscle bike". Guess its more of a Fazer1000/1200 Bandit all rounder kinda bike. I just cant get my head around the X11's looks, even though its a nice bike to ride.
I think bikes like the ZRX/XJR/GSX1400/1100 Zephyr/CB1000 BigOne are more about looks. They all look the part as well as being fun to own & ride.
Im sorry for going on a bit...bl4hbl4h

It's classed as a MUSCLE BIKE in all the mags, its NOT a 'RETRO'....

It was just an opinion, thats all. I wasnt thinking about what the mags pidgeonhole the X11 as.
"Musclebikes" as we call them, were the superbikes of the late 70's & early 80's-CB900F's,Z1000's,Z1100's,GS & GSX1000's & 1100's-big twin shock bruisers that the likes of Freddie Spencer,Eddie Lawson,Wayne Gardener etc used to muscle around the tracks. The ZRX/XJR/GSX/CB1000(& the latest CB1300)are all modelled on these early "musclebikes". Thats the look, the style & the attitude of these monsters with their big engines, twin shocks & tubular steel frames.
Now,an X11(likewise a 1000Fazer,1200Bandit & many other naked bikes)bear NO resemblance to these "musclebikes". In fact they bear no resemblance to anything in particular. They really are simply "NAKED" bikes. They have no heritage nor are they modelled on anything thats gone before & are simply a modern motorbike that doesnt have a full fairing.
A modern "musclebike" is of a "retro" style. They are essentally the same thing.
I think that if the mags want to pidgeonhole these bikes, they should put the X11/Fazer1000/1200Bandit/Prilla Tuono/Duke Monster etc etc in their very own pidgeonhole entitled "Naked Allrounders"...but please dont confuse them with the "musclebike retros" because they simply arent...!:dunno:

that is because it is full of middle aged to old aged pervs / dogooders / wannabe rebels, who like reading knitting and want to save the hedgehog, whilst learning 3 different languages and being the leader in the local gp races.
