Just a couple of pics of my new pride and joy. The 1st one shows it at the shop, straight off the wagon from Honda UK (I was getting some paperwork sorted out when they were unloading it). Then one outside my flat - the car has been relegated to the street as i've only got one parking space. :violin:

Looks great Bodmin. I hope you enjoy it which I'm sure you will.

I picked up a new 2006 black BB in December and have since racked up 1000miles on it. Chopped in my 2002 CBR954RR Fireblade and 1999 CBR1000F. The BB replaces both bikes perfectly - it's as fast as the Fireblade (and handles almost as well on the road) plus it's more comfortable and better balanced than the wallowy CBR1000F. I had a new 1998 BB for 2 years and part of me always regretted letting it go. Spent 6 years on Fireblades before moving back to the BB.

In my opinion, it's a great all rounder (and I'm not using this term to describe a boring bike). It's the perfect blend of performance, handling and comfort, plus, it's an incredibly easy bike to live with.

I'd be interested to see what accessories you choose to fit to your bike (huggers, gear indicators, cans etc). At the moment I've only fitted a Honda tank protector although I am considering a baglux tank cover as the sides of the tank seem to get rub marks on them even after a short ride making it hard work to keep looking nice (I don't remember this problem with my '98 bike).

Regarding rear huggers, the popular choice appears to be pyramid. However, I ordered one of these and it didn't fit correctly (one side of the tyre was being rubbed). Pyramid suggested I heat the hugger with a hairdryer and bend it back into shape, but I sent it back and will go elsewhere. Just my two penneths on the hugger front.

As far as cans are concerned, I've always like Akropovic, but am torn for two reasons: 1 - the price due to needing two cans; 2 - I think the stock items look great. A bit more sound would be nice, but not at that price.

Anyway, Enjoy the bike!

Thanks Nelson, the only accessories that i have planned at the moment is a tank protector (already fitted) and a set of Genuine Honda panniers (I like the lines of the bike with these), as I plan to use the bike for touring. The panniers are going to be fitted when the bike goes in for its first service (Friday). I will probably get a hugger and a Scottoiler fitted next, and will probably fit these myself. After that, who knows......brok3

Yes, I agree, the lines of the bike look much better with the Honda hard luggage compared to, say, Givi. I would guess that it is a well built as Givi. Will you fit a top box?

An expensive hobby for sure, but worth it!

Not sure about a top box, see how things go. what i've seen of the Honda hard luggage, seems well made.
