Did you buy just the complete lever, or just the part we see without adjuster?

Yep, still reading it. Wins "The Best Thread actually about Blackbird ownership" of 2011, IMHO.

Just fitted my exhaust hanger which was specially made. I like the look of it, but it needs a little bit of tweeking as it just touches the seat unit.

First ride out of 2012 and it was great fun, new rear brake works great now and going to fit the battery tomorrow.

I fitted a racing lightweight battery from

http://www.racingbatteries.co.uk/

This is about 1/3 of the weight of the OEM item and so far has worked well. I got a discount when i bought it as Colm who runs the company also owns a Bird. So far so good. I really should get the bike weighed at some point to see what she actually tips the scales at now. I have to say that anyone who has rideen it comments that it isn't half as heavy as they expeceted.

Have you decided to keep it now then Rick or are you still deciding?

Mine goes tonight, will miss the big bird. I may regret it when I've spent 4 hours of motorway miles on the gixer to get to folkstone and can no longer walk.

Looks like i will be keeping it for now as the deal with the S1000R wasn't as sweet as the salesman initially led me to believe. I will be getting one at a later date but think i will keep the Bird now in any case.

Good luck with the new ride @tu*

Think I would need 2 hours with a chiropractor just to get me onto to one of them bikes

Just joined this forum, I found your thread thouroughly enjoyable, BUT as I read it all in one go I recall clearly at the start you said you bought the bike so your chick could ride Pillion! How does she feel about this mod?8rfl@c7u8:neenaw:

I put the footrests on when she comes out with me...

I have just bought a quick action throttle 1/6 turn, as i find the standard one a bit of a wrench when trying to go to fully open. No doubt this will be a right bitch to fit, but it should give me something to do on a dark night or two.
