I think Jaws could make his first ?1m if he produced those number plates that didnt reflect an image, I would certainly be in the queue for some.

looks like i will have to keep my speed down,i live in swindon ,yes there are accidents along that stretch some bad ones and if you go slightly east there was a bad accident due to fog,but as a general rule the m4 by me is no worse than any other motorway

The answer to all of this is quite simple.. but we being fookwit brits will not do anything apart from moan about it all..

If every single person who got reported pleaded not guilty and went through the whole 'proof of competence' 'proof of up to date' calibration certification' and most of all proof that the laser thing actually is relaible ( after what has recently come to light ) then the courts would be jammed solid within a week.

But no.. we all moan like feck and when you do get nicked simply cough the wonga cos it is easier..

So Gentlemen, dont bleat on about how terrible it is, go out there and stir up the shite the same as a small band of us do !!

These cameras are forward facing and use laser to ping you. They dont catch your plate as you go by as they try to pick up the front plate.

As for blanking you plate out 'DONT', thats a 'down the steps ' job if youre caught. Its much simpler to take it off. Small fine, no points. Just say its fell off or its been stolen, and insist you want to report it as a theft, that will really piss the traffic officer who stops you.

Yup. Otherwise, you'll be about where you are with gun ownership....

Call us what you will, but we haven't completely bent...yet. But it's common knowlege that once you give an inch, it's an inch lost.

Unfortunately, this is not the last haven of speeding, just a continuation of the same policy. South Wales plod have had camera vans above the M4 for years now. They even caught their own chief constable a few years back.
Motorways are the safest roads in this country, so it only comes down to one thing - revenue generation

Wolfie

Is a lunp
limit is 70mph, camera goes off at 79mph, motorways are boring, only bikes on motorways should be goldwings cause they are crap on all other roads.

They ARE doing it too, - saw them lurking on the bridges today

Spotted a van up ahead..... checked my door mirror....... there was a beemer closing on me rapido.... he flashed past me and then nearly stood it on it's grille when he spotted them, but I reckon they probably got him first. We were only about 200 mts away from the bridge.

That is right actually cause me and a mate got stopped coming back from SantaPod last year cause my mate had a Streetfighters stickers on his plate. (you obviously could not read the plate).
He got a telling off, producer and ?30 fine.
No points.
