Much to Biker Babe's relief....I made it home. East and Central London is gridlocked, mobile phone networks are un-useable, underground is closed, very limited bus services, loads of road closures including the Limehouse Link Tunnel....which is forcing traffic onto the already blocked East India Dock Road. Avoid the area at all costs.

Our thoughts and prayers go out to the families of the dead and injured.

Nice to see

I think they need to put an immediate block on all Immigrants, this may seem like an over reaction, but we have to start somewhere then start a process of all Immigrants proving that they are who they claim to be if they can't prove it then boot them out.

I am not alone on this subject

I just went outside for a ciggy ( waits 4 abuse...) There is a police sub-station at the top of the road and there's two High-Vis wearing officers outside.....

Both Armed!

One of our Delivery guy's got back as I came in and said there's two outside Kings Heath nick too.

Unfortunately I think you may have a point Derek, more to this than meets the eye maybe?

Hell I hope not.

Thoughts with those killed and injured, families and friends.

I've gotta go in and pick up my g/f from London Bridge later; can't say I'm looking forward to the ride in, but it'll be chaos on public transport later and she's already shaken enough.
She works just round the corner from Liverpool Street and we spent an hour trying to contact each other this morning - it ranks as one of the worst hours of my life; just another good reason for leaving this shit hole of a country (as if we needed another  ) Respect to the emergency services though  By all accounts they were well prepared.

Nope, this is just normal procedure at times like this.
Even up here in the Midlands our officers have just been put on HIGH ALERT.
This is simply a reaction to anything else that may or may not happen, its simply a state of readiness, dont read anything else into it.

You most certainly are not alone on this one bif, I don't just mean the Asian's either, there are a lot of no good scum amongst the Eastern Europeans as well, a colleagues son was beaten up and robbed outside Wakefield train station by them, and a colleague of my daughter was stabbed 11 times (he survived) all for his mobile phone, my wife comes home from her stall on Leeds sunday market every week telling me how she has had stock taken my daughter who helps out even confronted an Asian who had just pinched her mobile phone, his reply "Oh I suppose you want it back then"

Does this mean that they will recall all the English Armed response officers that are at the G8 summit?

there are so many immigrants in this country that are let in, that we probably have most of Al Quieda living in our country with all our services at their disposal,

For the last couple of years the Police and Intelligence forces have openly and publicly admitted that Al-Qeida sleepers are resident in this country. The only problem is they don't how many, or where they are.

Bastards! My sympathies to everyone involved. I feel sorry for the people who live down there. I hope to God we can catch the scum involved - hang them!

Hey up Bazz,
There are a couple of plod on bikes watching the traffic on and off the motorway at Junction 7. I should imagine it`s just to make sure everything keeps flowing as London being shut down could have a big knock on effect elsewhere, rush hour is the pits at the best of times let alone when a major city is all but closed down.
Spare a though for HB, he`s already been stopped in the centre of Brum today and he`s got to go back in to the Adrian Boult Hall tonight for a gig!!

Like Warchild, I wanted to express my sympathy and anger over the attacks from across the pond. Hopefully they will be brought to justice swiftly.

Hope everybody living or going through London is OK - I'm good, luckily was not jobbing in Soho this morning, gf not working today either so she's OK too, thoughts for those who were not that lucky. Weird atmosphere here.

Just got home after working in South-East London today. No mobiles, Dartford Crossing made free presumably to keep traffic flowing. A2 and M25 absolutely jammed. Took me about 1 hour on the Bird - some poor sods will be there for hours.

Many people are booking into hotels, I just hope the hotels are not going to exploit people,

On the subject of hotels well done to the hilton hotel, for providing rooms bedding refreshments etc to the injured and the services

just spoke to my g/f

She can't get to work this morning as they've just evacuated Liverpool St :dunno:
Sounds like a suspect device though as haven't heard any further bad news on the radio.
