on a related note if carrying your credit card in an external pocket make sure it's done up properly to avoid losing it in the outside lane of an Autostrada at high speed.

For those that have followed this saga, I got back via Eurotunnel last night. V helpful lady UK border control officer who is doing herCBT so wanted to hear about the bike ! All I now have to do is pay for a replacement...The key was having a copy of the gendarmes report, so lesson (apart from keeping wallet and passport under wraps at all times obviously) is go to local police as soon as convenient. Also makes you road legal without docs, at least in France.


The good news is I could not have chosen a better 2 weeks for my summer hols. Sunny and almost too hot.

Back to work tomorrow which is less good.
