Jackets

Thanks to all who responded to my request just to let you know an easement over the credit card has been negotiated!!!

Went to Hein Gericke today to try their offerings and found that all of the jackets were either too bulky or too high in the neck (my heads bolted direct to my shoulders) ... shit, borrax ... cos it looks like top gear.

Woods of Agerbele was next. The two very helpful young lasses in there didn't rate the Fieldshear jackets at all being as they have had about 6 returns so far this year due to leaks... they did however rate the Richa Typhoon jacket which has a removeable liner four outside pockets, one inside pocket and a 'map pocket'? which is just inside the outer flap where the zip is. It has CE approved armour on elbows, shoulders and back. It isn't the hard plastic type of armour which I find a bit uncomfortable, it feals more like very stiff foam. Anyway it is guaranteed for 12 months against leakage, retails at ?99.99 and zips to my Richa Monsoon pants. If I gets damp in the next 12 months its going right back.

Just had an Idea, my daughter was talking earlier today about now winter is on it's way her horse will need a new rug, the last rug she bought was a weatherbeater, and it has lasted about eight years, it is looking very tatty and the fastenings have been replaced a couple of times, but it is still waterproof, we are talking about a seven foot rug that covers a horses back, and has to endure a horse rolling about in mud, rubbing up against trees etc, I think I will contact weatherbeater and ask them to start making waterproof clothing for motorcyclists.
