A side effect of major surgery. My missus said I looked like an extra from Night of the Living Dead after I came out of hospital after spinal fusion.

You'll start to look a bit more like your presurgery self as you recover.

You'll still be ugly though.:risas3:
Compared to your beautiful baby faced complexion. :aplastao:

Apple have announced they are no longer going to make iPods, I love my Ipod and would be lost without it, I use it every day

Now do I buy a new one just in case my old one goes wrong :nusenuse:
Depends which iPod you have. I have the last of the iPod classic before they discontinued them. If it's one of these you have, they're actually quite basic inside and there's some decent third-party repair places out there. You can even have the hard drive switched up for a larger capacity version if you want.

If you have an iPod touch, maybe buy one now and forget about it until your existing model drops it's bat.

If memory serves, I have four iPods (Classic, 2 x Touch and a Nano) and they all still work.

It's an ipod touch I think I'm going to do as you suggest and buy a new one as a future proof

Stop it! It really hurts when I laugh. It’s lovely being home but I am so incapacitated.

on my journey back home I asked the ambulance to call in at a services so I could use the toilets.

it was when he was helping me out of the car and across the walkway into the Starbucks, that I could see my reflection in the plate glass window and there was the ambulance man helping an elderly, disabled person. It broke my heart and brings tears to my eyes even now.
A guy I used to work with underwent a triple bypass and I went to see him just after he got home, to say I was shocked at his appearance was an understatement, six months down the line he looked a picture of health getting on with his hunting, fishing shooting lifestyle. Apparently invasive heart surgery as opposed to stenting has this effect but has a better outcome in the long run so hang in there mate good things are in the pipeline.

It seems to me that there are lots of people on here with unused iPods lurking at the back of drawers…..maybe a ‘donation‘ might be arranged….?

Early days Malone, MIL had triple bypass and looked awful at first. A few weeks later she was feeling healthier, a few months later felt a whole lot better, her strength and stamina increased. She started slowly and built up as directed by physios etc. Still looked awful mind

I find it hard to get my head round that with only 1 artery at full strength I was walking the dog, going up and downstairs etc. with no difficulty

now they’ve de clogged a couple more adding veins from my left thigh (ooh it’s painful!) and I can barely get from chair to bog and my heart feels like Mike Tyson is sparring inside. Even taking fast deep breaths doesn’t remove the sheer panic I get.

Think of it as....You used to have a smooth in-line 4, now you've got a temporary single thumper, it still works, but a little more torque is necessary.
Next will be a V-twin onto a triple and
back to a smoother 4......Seeeeeemples.

You think you have it bad - I got stung by a stinging nettle this morning.

You should have rubbed the sore spot with a dock leaf
Almost, a whole dock leaf won’t work. You need to take a leaf and rub it to shreds in your hands until you can squeeze out a liquid from the pulp, then apply that to the area.

Apparently it's an urban myth and dock leads don't do any good, you are better off using soap and water or baking soda as its more alkaline and neutralizing than a dock leaf.

When I used to go for a walk with my family my mum used to give us an anti lion stick and they worked we never saw any lions (y)
