Apple have announced they are no longer going to make iPods, I love my Ipod and would be lost without it, I use it every day

Now do I buy a new one just in case my old one goes wrong :nusenuse:

Get a lifetimes supply if you really like it.(y)

So many products where I wish I had done that over the years.

Latest is a Technoline digital clock thermometer with an amber display - can still get the particular model 8 like with a blue display but it’s not as nice as the amber!

I've got an iPod Touch and much as I hate Apple products it is by far the best media player.

My missus has every model of iPod and they all still work.

I've had mine for at least 10 years I don't know how much longer it will last

One thing to be careful of is as I recall you don’t own the music on ipods so when they become obsolete Apple may decide to make them unusable

I’ve got an old iPod in the garage that runs off a Bose unit, it barely gets used these days, but I’d hate to have it pack up

Exactly what happened many years ago with my Sony MP3 player…..I still have it with thousands of tunes on…… they did some updates and not long after it was unusable….reckon they put a ‘switch off’ date in the update. Guess what….the software driver was no longer available to download.

I didn't know that, it doesn't seem fair as you have paid for it and I'm not going to buy an iPhone

I have a old iPod Touch. Got to be approaching 10 years old. It usually only gets used either in the garage or when on holiday. Every tune on it I have the CD for. Don't think I've ever bought a download.

More often than not I use my phone as a media player now anyway got more memory than my iPod.

Apparently you haven’t bought the music, you’ve bought a license so you don’t get sued for sharing music.

Got exactly the same set up in the front room.

Stop it! It really hurts when I laugh. It’s lovely being home but I am so incapacitated.

on my journey back home I asked the ambulance to call in at a services so I could use the toilets.

it was when he was helping me out of the car and across the walkway into the Starbucks, that I could see my reflection in the plate glass window and there was the ambulance man helping an elderly, disabled person. It broke my heart and brings tears to my eyes even now.

I try not to look at reflections when I do walkabout. I don't recognise him...

A side effect of major surgery. My missus said I looked like an extra from Night of the Living Dead after I came out of hospital after spinal fusion.

You'll start to look a bit more like your presurgery self as you recover.

You'll still be ugly though.:risas3:
