If you've got a PC with DVD drive, they do go at 4x speed. Ideal to rewinding long films. :f

I bought a region 1 dvd player for a tenner ( cos it is the wrong region and is not PAL )
I rewind all my DVD's on that..
I am sure there must be lots of semi duff DVD players out there that you could snaffle for a song ..

Is this why all our dogs keep on pegging it ?
We have been feeding them PAL videos, dvd's, tellys etc for years.. none have lived longer than a few weeks though...

I can't be arsed with all this posh nechnology, DVD, PAL, Video... pa.
If I want to see a film, or my mate has it on one of the new fangled DVD thingies above, I simply go round his house take my good old 8mil camcorder, set it up in front of his telly, record, and take it home.
Then the family have a nice cosy night in huddled around the little screen on the camera watching it for free whenever we want.
saves a fortune !

I sneak into film premiers with my Camcorder and film it from the big screen coz then I've got the original and not a copy.

Yes, bgut going back to the original, using them as coasters does not help rewind them ! In fact it makes them go brown and crispy..
