The engine in the delorean has cylinders arranged in. 90degree V rather than the usual 60degrees for a V6 as it was originally developed as a V8 where the cylinder banks are normally at 90degrees. The engine (known as PRV) was developed by Peugeot Renault, and Volvo (hence PRV) - all three brands used it in production models.
The only factory option available on a delorean was an auto gearbox, with the only choice being black or grey leather interior.
For the record, deloreans were pretty awful to drive although much improved over the years by after market conversions.
