Arnold Schwarzenegger wasn’t allowed to be the German voice when his films were dubbed, because his Austrian accent made him sound like a country bumpkin

Mentioned elsewhere, the Germans like to string words together to make one. I rather like this one

Backpfeifengesicht.

A face badly in need of a fist.

The military uniforms worn by Adam Ant were originally used in The Charge of the Light Brigade - they were bought from a used props, shop in Covent Garden.

Brits on average eat around one hundred bananas a year.

There could be a problem.

What we know as an everyday banana is the Cavendish variety. They are unable to reproduce sexually, instead being propagated via identical clones. Due to this the genetic diversity of the Cavendish banana is very low. The extreme lack of any biodiversity and the fact the Cavendish is planted in dense chunks in a monoculture without any other natural species or plants buffering them, means the Cavendish is extremely vulnerable to disease, fungal outbreaks, and genetic mutation possibly leading to eventual commercial extinction

In the UK, in terms of maps and general navigation, there are actually 3 Norths....

True North - this is based on the Earth's rotational axis.

Grid North - based on the northerly convergence of the OS grid lines on maps.

Magnetic North - based on the current magnetic effects created by the Earth's molten core.

Magnetic North is always moving.
You forgot 'Up North' where I live!

The tomb of the first Emperor of China covers 22 square miles. This is where the Terracotta Army was discovered, some 8000 soldiers.
i was lucky enough to see a small part of the army in Sydney, at a site just next to a McDonald’s.

Not that it was commercial exploitation. Oh no.
