I would have done the track day/rider developement, but I'm already doing the BMF National Rally that weekend, and 540 miles not including getting to the start point and then getting home is not to be sniffed at.

My ass and left leg went numb last year on the 600 Bandit. :violin:

I would do the track day if it could be arranged for a Saturday in late August.

Ride out thingy

man8um

I agree with Rhino
Not everyone can spare the time or the cash, and no I wouldn't come anyway cos I ride a fecking Bike all week(albeit a fjr13 or Pan13 or vfr8 or blackie whatever I've got at the time)
Life is made up of choices and if people choose not to go for whatever reason, then respect it.
so stop fecking whingeing.

If your going to pontificate, go in the corner and take a kleenex with you!

I WAS interested in doing the track day till my wife saw...

A)?75 Fee. Pointed out other track days and prices, calmed wife down.
B) Just forked out ?284 on new tyres for the Mille, would more than likley need new set after track day, not so keen.
C) Full Zip together leathers. Thats a new set for me, mine are only quarter zipped. That was a strict nono.

The reasons? Mortgage gone up, no holiday left, no feckin' payrise on the horizon, etc etc........

"I am so p-ssed off over the rider skills day being cancelled through lack of interest! We couldn't even raise forty members who are interested in using their bike a bit nearer to what it is capable of. Have I become a member of a Pan Euro site by accident? AAArrrggghhhhh"

Perhaps one of the reasons could be that a lot of us here are A)working and B)Family men, just cant get the time off, etc, etc. I'd love to do a track day but for the reasons listed above I cannot for the foreseeable future.

"Too many pansies own Blackies as a recreational vehicle"

At least they bloody OWN one limpnuts! Go ahead, borrow your mates ZX6RR, Blade or GSX400RR. You go for it. Want to see pictures though, not of you on a bike but you with a MATE!!!

Getting the quots to work correctly is basic stuff, but not basic enough it seems.

If i knew what a quot was i might bother to try to work out how to use it properly. :m

Nobody expected you to come all the way down through the mountains, border patrols and customs to the Midlands. I won't give advice as you haven't asked for any  ps Thanks for the new spoon  Bloody thing has made me take out loads of bows etc God I hate technology.

i usually do manage a few trips down south from sunny Scotland every year if only to experience the traffic jams

helps me to remember how lucky we are up here with the roads R#? even if we only get about 3 days of summer every year 8ree!

circumstances this year mean will probably only manage down once or twice depending if i can get an owl sitter or not and if there is a track day/rideout when im here then i should be able to come along

This thread is Great !!!!

The BASH had over 100 blokes present and only 30 of them signed up for the Track Day Event on Sunday.
Of the 30 that participated in the Track Day Event, nobody including myself were wearing the proper gear. As a result I have now been permanently damaged from High Siding in turn 6. :bang:
The cost of the Track Day event was free except for the needed courage to enter. Even the Bikes were provided at no cost and still only 30 participated.

I thought track days were for learning and not racing but again that racing spirit always seems to raise its ugly head and after winning my first two heats, I crashed out on the third. :xm

If you can only get 30 to ride at a free track day how do you expect to get 40 were you have to pay to be involved.

I think it has nothing to do with money, but more of what you have hanging between your legs !!!

Just wait till next years Bash and I plan on kickin everyones butt at the annual Track Day Event. You can bet I will be ready to race this time and will be wearing all the proper gear and will be taking some one with me this time if there is a crash involved.

I mean where else do you get to race someone elses bike, and get lots of instruction from many experienced racers, and get on and off-Road experience all in one track day.
I was learning how to Back the Bike around a corner when I high-sided ! There is a traction problem in the off-road part of the track but damn sure is grippy on the Tarmac even with cold tires.!!

I saw Eddie learn to get his knee down this year. I believe that Marks experience in survival in a crash helped him out when the old codgger pulled out in front of him.

Everyone should take advantage of every track day event they can.

Bring on Bash 05 !!

Track Day Winner in Training Here !!
