Was only kidding... It really depends if maximum candle power is vital to you - if you do a lot of riding at night and in mountains or in big cities where being noticed is a life-saver then going HID like I did really makes a difference, it really makes night riding as comfortable as day-riding... If you think 100W is bright then you'll be amazed by HID! :yo:

What size is it, I have never checked.

Neither have I Mac.... not by proper means anyway!

When I first went with 100's I was a bit paranoid about the loading. I checked and bloody checked the wiring for signs of heat, or at least some warming, but there was never anything to worry about, so it must be well over specified.

Not very scientific I know, but if there was the slightest hint of wire getting too warm, I would've found it!

Been looking at doing the HID thing for a while. Which system did Pete provide? And, if it's not too delicate a question, how much?

I know that Autolamps Online offer a BB kit for a shade under ?200 (dip or main - another ?200 to do both). Can Pete beat this?

TIA

System he provides is precisely the one you've had a look at, top of the range, and you'll have to ask him for the price but yes I believe he can beat that... as for HID for main, not necessary, believe me! 8l1nd

Thanks. I'll try to track Pete down at the NEC when I'm there this Friday. Anyone know which stand he's on? Avon's again?

Warning Warning! 100w bulbs may melt the retina's of oncoming car drivers. Thus changing "sorry mate I didn't see you" to "I can't see!" Good thing or Bad thing, you decide.
