Well mine is staying, I'd never realised how many people know me when I'm out on the bike, they wave and flash their lights, it's heartwarming @tu*

Update: My mate who's been a bike mechanic and builder for most of his life has just completed an MOT testing course. He's therefore now up to date on the very latest mot regulations.

He was actually very surprised at how many things don't actually class an an mot failure, just an advisory. As he fitted my HID's for me he specifically questioned the mot course trainers on them and they aren't a failure point on an mot. There's also no immediate plan to include them as a failure. As a result he's now going to fit them to his bikes.

That's good enough for me.

Gotta love HID. Unless, of course, it's on a CB1300.

I've just spent 3 hours plus putting an HID H3/4 kit into my CB1300 and, although it turned out OK, it wasn't an enjoyable experience. Probably explains why I couldn't find any instructions on the InterWeb.

HID all the way, in my opinion an essential safety upgrade. Having sat on the bonnet of a car that made eye contact and still pulled out at the last second several times anything that reduces this risk is worthwhile. Just take care when ajusting the beam so as not to dazzle other road users. Makes riding at night much better. The blackbirds flat beam is ideally suited to HID and works much better than most other bikes with very clean beam cut off and no spurious light scatter.

I have never had a problem with MOT
