At a guess I would suggest contacting DVLA and they would either sell it to you or enter into the monthly auction. To save me a lot of hunting, someone may know
I used to have the reg J11WSO
It is no longer in use and as far as I can tell the cat has been scrapped but the reg number is not listed for sale any where
How can I get it in my name ?
Something I am, at the moment, trying to avoid ( for obvious reasons...you never know just how well developed the shrubbery masquerading as a human will be that you hrt to talk to ! )At a guess I would suggest contacting DVLA and they would either sell it to you or enter into the monthly auction.
Doesn’t stop you coming on here!!Something I am, at the moment, trying to avoid ( for obvious reasons...you never know just how well developed the shrubbery masquerading as a human will be that you hrt to talk to ! )
If the reg number has been used and then the car and reg scrapped ….. the chances of getting hit back is virtually zero !To save me a lot of hunting, someone may know

I've always understood it as the car that it is on has to have a current MOT for you to transfer it.
EDIT: From the gov.uk site. See Eligibility - https://www.gov.uk/personalised-vehicle-registration-numbers/take-private-number-off
That is on aa Ford Galaxy, and J11VVS is on a 2 series BMWSurely the Reg J4VVS would be better for you ??
so it’s missing in actionbut sold the car to another dealer who sent it to action.....
