Well to be fair deafness isn't a matter of choice is it!

If the stereo is that loud you stand a good chance of finding out!

Not really relevant to this but for what its worth, my father is 89% deaf, and its a proven fact (well at least I think it is) when you lose one of your senses i.e. sight, speech, hearing etc your other senses compensate for the missing one, thus the senses you have left become sharper.......... :bow:

If you continue to listen to your music that loud you cannot hear the emergency services coming either to-wards you or from behind you just think on, and remember that when you are older this will affect your hearing, so if you wanna be deaf/deafer (which ever the case may be) when your older, carry on !!!!! deafness ain't a laughing matter and i know just how frustrating it is for my dad when people are trying to talk to him because he can't understand them. :bang: :bang:

Coz you dont need the MP3 player & the radio on at the same time,coz.
.
.
It draws too much current & drains the battery (specially with the heated grips & rear screen demister on)...:}

Er...Reefer......two points to note:

There is an offence of 'Excessive Noise From Vehicle" and this applies exactly to what you have admitted doing, :t and;

You say you will get yourself ready to ride your bike with more care (ie be more awake) than when you are going to drive your car because you feel safer in the car and more vulnerable on a bike.....what about every other bike on the road, or any other vulnerable person using the road and road side? When you are half asleep in your car, don't they matter?

Aren't you being irresponsible?:dunno:

Reefer,
In answer to your origional question.
In the car I have the radio / tape / wife at a volume that allowes me to hear whats going on outside the vehicle. ( unless I am being told off by the wife )

I find it terrible that you use your sound system so loud, I think that you should remove it from the vehicle NOW.
Then send it to someone who will be able to make better use of it, in a more sensible, and responsible manner.

I have sent a PM with my address and postage details to you.

.
.
Oh. and ..... I agree with what Ian says.

hornet...ok wrongs words used yet again :rolleyes:
i am more alert after breakfast and coffee..NON decafe..and as such always make sure i make an extra 30mins to ensure i get them before mounting the steed..however an extra 30mins in bed goes a long way, so i bypass brekkie when i use the car, plus seeing as the car has 3 cup holders as standard..if i feel the need for coffee..NON decafe then i have the options of stopping at a cafe or coffee shop and purchasing 1-3 cups

murt..there in the post
