Was funny Derek, going up on the train it was cloudy from Peterborough up, sun was trying to break through in York, got to Filey and it was dull again, bought the bike and thought I was going to get soaked coming past York, really cloudy and Thundery looking, got on the A1 and had broken sunshine nearly all the way home, was only when I got back into Kent did I get clear blue skies, but as you said not a drop of rain.

Dunno how many bugs I killed but was struggling to see out of the visor for the last few miles

Thanks to everyone for your good wishes - bike is absolutely wonderful - feels so much smoother and more planted than the CB5 (yes I know it's because its a 4 cylinder instead of a twin). Glides round bends like its on rails and, well, I could go on forever about how wonderful it is. Opened her up today and wow - I know it's nothing compared to the Blackbird but then I'm not on the front of the 'bird when we are slightly exceeding the speed limit  - this is sooooooooooo much faster than my CB5 and just so easy to ride. As the MickeyD advert says 'I'm loving it'.
