no alarm it was running after i sorted the loom fix /stator /and reg /rec but the indicator fuse kept blowing that was my fault as i did not unplug the wire on the rack and just let it hang so it pulled the wire out of the indicator and they were touching so sorted that and now it will not start :xm

Yes, Trucker. There is a 30 amp fuse in the starter solenoid.

red ones are faster
is it in neutral and the light on

test the FI fault codes see what that gives you

OK The first problem to address is the fuel pump not priming. If it does not prime the bike will not start. Considering what you said about a short are you sure all fuses are OK? :-0)

Surely there must be an answer to this. So many of us in recent months have suffered starting issues and between us we have helped and been helped find solutions; I for one have learnt an awful lot. I can understand your frustration but I'm sure not all is lost.

On the other hand,if you are binning it and want to sell it as a non-runner I'll give you a couple of quid for it ;-0))

I feel your pain..............but I bet this is something simple.

At the risk of getting a slap, are you 100% certain that all the fuses are OK? Have you taken them out and tested them with a multimeter for continuity? I say this as I have twice tested fuses in place and they appeared fine but when tested when removed from the holder they were duff - admittedly this was on a burglar alarm but it is a possibility.

Have you checked the big fuse in the solenoid that is hidden away under a rubber boot?

i need a bike for work if it is not running i am losing ?450 a week so this week i have lost ?650 on parts and no work i should have left the loom fix well alone

I'm wiv ya!

Whoa there - has it been running since you did the loom fix or is this when the problems started?

Talk us through what happened with the rear indicators in detail - the more info posted the more chance of someone coming up with the answer.

Don't give up on it mate, there will be an answer - there always issh1tehppns

Question for everyone - does the FI turn over if the sidestand circuit is duff? Ditto re tilt switch.

If you read the posts, Andy.

He has checked all fuses including the one in the solenoid. Ignition is on, the bike is in neutral and the run/stop switch is set at run. Like you, I found it hard to believe that it was not a fuse after the sparks with the indicator. But he has told us the fuel pump is not priming and the pump relay is not clicking. So it is not something simple. It may be a duff relay or possibly the ECU. Is the fuel pump relay the same type as any other on the bike so they could be swapped? Is anyone nearby who would allow a swap of relay and/or ECU?
