IAN, i think that all the appliances should be silver, it would realy set off your kitchen..

I'll buy the old microwave off you for a couple of ?? as i'm using mum's and she's found a house now..
I think TINA deserves to have the new stuff anyway,, after all, she copes with you 24-7

theres FECK all wrong with the machine we've got  so if she thinks I'm buying a new one "so it matches" she has another thought coming!!
Micro justification was, you can have the "old" one {read 1 year} for your garage, for when I let my mug of tea get cold, :dunno:
now how do I persuade her a "bike lift" is as/more essential than "hot" tea???

Bike Lift Ian?
Made one up for about ?60-70.

Yes it runs in two L shaped channels. The total movement isnt that great cos as the jack is sliding forward the lift point is moving backwards. I cant utilise the maximum lift of the ramp because the bike hits the garage light fittings and the jack doesnt have the height capability. However it means that I can sit on a chair to strip the calipers etc which is as much as I want.

pucker idea
all i need to do now is get a garage %$fan
bigger more foot print jack would give a higher lift and i guess you have bolted the top of the jack to the bike top :dunno:
where as if the top was also floating on say bearings enclosed in a track..simalar to the bottom, that would overcome the angle diffrences :dunno:

pucker idea tho

The lift is determined by the maximum lift of the jack and the position of the bar you are jacking on. If the jacking point is half way down the leg of the lift then obviously a 300mm jack lift will raise the bike by 600mm and if your lowest level for the deck is 200mm then the bike will be 800mm above floor level. The jack isnt fixed to the jacking point reefer. If you want additional pics please ask.

OK Ian. I've already transfered the original magazine scan into a word document to make it smaller because so many of the T/Ace lads wanted the plans.
