Had mine through the post for the four-wheeled Panzer this morning, £465. £140 of that is tax and the rest of it is a penalty for having a nice car, upon which I paid enough tax at purchase, so I don’t see why I should be paying again.
So what do we actually get for this tax? The roads are shite, over-crowded, full of potholes and the public transport infrastructure is so shite that cars and bikes are a necessity.
I really wish there was an achievable mechanism for refusing this tax in the same way that one can refuse to pay the whole bill in a restaurant if the food is perceived to be below standard.
