My BMW diesel is as quiet and actually cleaner than a petrol equivalent. It’s mahooooosively faster and significantly,ore economical, too
Well, you must have a duff car then. Either that, or you’re an old drama queen. Mine is pretty quiet on the inside. I’ll admit she’s not as quiet as my diesel C class was but still quiet.
I can only relate to my own diesels and I’m on my sixth since 2001. My 406 was a noisy heap of shite but the others were all pretty good. My Volvo V50 was probably the quietest of the lot. Before buying my Discovery in 2007, I test drove a Freelander, which was, by far, the noisiest vehicle I’ve ever had the misfortune of riding in. It was like a mob of skeletons wanking in a biscuit tin. I’ve been in quieter helicopters flying back and forth rigs!Two duff cars?
