Datatool System 3 Removal.

Following a lot of un-necessary work by Petros trying to remove a Datatool System 3 alarm which had been extremely professionally installed we found a simple safe 10 minute solution. We don't want to post it openly on here but if any member needs it please contact either Petros or myself. We may be teaching some grannys to suck eggs but we didn't know so possibly others won't either.

Useful post

Alarms are crap, drain the battery, and do nothing to prevent theft

Remove them all!

From what I read de-spiking is not a done deal!

Checking email now.

Bill that's a top bit of info & a must for anyone that has one of the Data Tool units fitted, we gave it a go on HalfBirds CBR600 "BINGO" now the bike is getting "Spiked" & if that fails is by pass@tu*

Thanks again :yo:

I think you DO know Jaws .... AS I personally mailed (or was it text) you quite a long time ago (possibly a year ago?) with the info I had been given by Datatool themselves ... on how to bypass the alarm g0551p ('Bridges' may remind you ?)

You did advise cutting it out as a long term solution ... which I will do one day ... ...

Way back in June 20012 I think
I had the same problem !

Mine was a datatool system 3 ... All black cables ...
Someone recommended cutting it all out and re soldering everything .... Great but didnt have the time !!!!

Datatool gave me a quick fix !
Alarm and immobiliser bypassed .... No cutting and no soldering !

Again IF you had read my post in 2012 .... You could have saved yourself a lot of hassle and I could have given you the answer

good looking AND modest
Now fuck off. :-0)

Now THAT'S not very nice William!! if anything you wrote mattered one iota, I may even be slightly miffed, but as it is what you write is mainly twaddle anyway, so I wont stoop to your level and call you a daft old git with just the three brain cells remaining, and working at half power. :-0)

There is nothing more delightful than holding the dead beast of an datatool alarm in your hand :yo: I showed everyone that stopped near me and just threw it out yesterday....no more flat battery issues and a healthy charge reading all the time....there was a 9v rechargeable battery inside which was obviously sucking the power from the bike.....only took one and half hours.....rip it out I say...
