Been putting roofing felt on with that black sticky suff (Bitumen type stuff?)!!!!

sooo - any hints on how to get it off my hands?? Got no white spirit here - got most off before I came home, but then found out about the lack of white spirit - any ideas???

No, try any other body sprays you might have. Some furniture polish may also work, but no guarentee on what it might do to the skin.

Diesel is supposed to dissolve it, they use it in hospitals to remove molten bitumen from burns victimes ie after the Odsal stadium [bradford] fire a lot of victims were treated for bitumen burns as it had melted from the roof of the stand & burned several peoples scalps it was successfully treated using Diesel oil.

Dip a cloth in the Birds tank and use a bit of petrol then wash hands as normal

Try a bit of unleaded then if you have no diesel it can't hurt & I think most petroleum based products would work or you could try spraying WD40 onto it & see if that breaks it down I've used it many a time for getting oil off my hands when I've run out of swarfega

The other deffo stuff is petrol ( the stuff you put in your bike tank ) didnt want to say earlier as it can be pretty dangerous. specially if you do it with a fag in your gob
