Costco is where the gullible go to buy in bulk (not you Robbo, you clearly aren't gullible).

I have a neighbour who is forever telling us about things which cost 'only' such an amount at Costco, silly woman neglects to remember to add the VAT at 20%!! But where the hell do you store a bulk shipment of toilet rolls, washing powder and is it economical if you have to buy an additional freezer to freeze all perishables?

Or be a "family member" whose muvver gets her membership free anyway, and AE is right, unless you buy in bulk and able to claim the Vat back it CAN be expensive, however if you buy food stuffs without vat, and look at the local Asda/Tesco ETC for similar products you can get some products at a good saving and I must say that recently the only stuff I've bought are 25ltrs of car wash, the afore mentioned MF clothes, and Chicken Breasts, :dunno: and I do like the bog rolls as they seem tough enough to stop you sticking your fingers through when wiping!!

Talking with one our dog handlers & his wife works for Tesco & she reckons the televisions that people have been fighting over are generally over five years old & rebranded stock that they can't shift.

Well she's wrong Derek, they are all new stock imported especially for black Friday, they have been coming into the country for the last 6 months and stored, plus the cost of doing what your suggesting is so high that it would cost Tesco thousands and if your mates missus does work for Tesco she will tell you THAT simply aint gonna happen !! BTW one storage point is in Wakefield, another in Brum, there are at least another half dozen around the country, :dunno:

I believe it was an American store called Blacks that started this and that's how it started as black friday.

I am suprised however that the social justice keyboard warriors of twitter havn't tried to call it rainbow friday so as to stop using the term black.

Which is of course is nonsense as the biggest killers of blacks in the states..is other blacks. Even one of the recent cases where a rookie cop shot an unarmed black man by mistake, the rookie cop was a person of colour. Desperate attempts to hide black on black by blaming everything on white, nothing new there.

You may be right on the origin of the sale though i.e. black from red.

It is far from clear whether 'he shot him by mistake'. Dozens of different versions depending on which 'reliable eye witness' is to be believed.
