flipping heck, I didn’t realise they went over 3000…..I am not sure revving it out to 11000 helped a lot as with a fairly stock engine etc the power (torque) would have dropped off by then ?
Remind me never to buy a bike off you!77mph in 1st gear bouncing off the rev limiter on my 'Bird.
Why? It's not like I do it every time I ride.Remind me never to buy a bike off you!
Easiest way to cause damage especially if the motor is cold. and its pointless anyway, I sometimes thrash just about anything but never in first or secondWhy? It's not like I do it every time I ride.
A nice hot motor and the throttle wound back steadily, not ripped to the stop, just to see what the figure was.Easiest way to cause damage especially if the motor is cold. and its pointless anyway, I sometimes thrash just about anything but never in first or second
Not first and rarely in second for me, any other gear yep I give it the beansI'm fairly certain I've done exactly the same, with every bike and car. I would consider myself to be mechanically sympathetic.
Who said anything about power? Not first and rarely in second for me, any other gear yep I give it the beans
Absolutely no point in redlining in first or second anyway as power has fallen off the edge of a cliff by then, sorry gents but the rest of us will be pootling past by the time you get 4th as we have kept it in the power (torque) and not wasted all that energy, the bloke in the vid would have probably gone faster doing the same imo
I can almost smell the ‘adrenaline’There’s a video of me with the nitrous Busa. A bit of background for the keyboard knowalls, this strip is extremely slick and bumpy. The last run of the day was wind behind, always useful when it’s normally headon. The tyre was almost shot, and to enliven the spectators a BIG burnout added to the thrill. In first gear it was going well until I managed it hit a bump and it overrevved and the same time I airshifted into second, Lovely now I’ve got some good traction and by the way, in second gear the nitrous turns on adding an additional 60hp Instantly to the 200+ already. Whoopsie up she rises. And another low 9 second run on a streetbike.
