Bike Security.........Peace of mind more like....

Hi Guys,

Living as I do in Corby in Northants (aka Beruit with double glazing).....

Worrying about the safety and security of my prized Blackie.....I bought a device my mates call The POD.....as it looks like the green POD that contains Thunderbird 4.........

you can get one from www.secure-a-bike.com not cheap, but an amazing bit of kit that keeps it safe, secure and doesnt take up garage space as you leave it out on the drive or in the Garden.

Can recommend this!!!

Andi

The alternatives.......:bandit: :shooter:

My bikes are secured with a ground anchor with the chain going through the Norton frame and locked to the Ace and then two more chains and locks to secure both bikes together, but the best security device (according to my insurance company) was the move to Anglesey. I also have two dogs who kick up holy shit when anyones around.

My garage had an up and over door with a crappy shoot bolt at the base. I drilled and fixed four more bolts inside the door that go through the frame into the concrete supports. I then reinforced the access door with angle iron and fitted good locks. I also park an alarmed car right up to the door as well.

Then some bastid comes along and smashes the garage wall down.

The

garage is at the end of a gravel drive, making lots of noise, bikes are chained together and alarmed/ immobilised, alarmed cars in front of garage, 6'2" Glaswegian with pet pitbull cross if all that fails.:bandit:

I still the think the only way to deal with 'Outlaws' who steal from us and break into our homes is this.....

1 X Side by side 'Spanish' 12 bore
1 X Pump action 3 shot 'Magtech' 12 bore

Tony Martin   with him alllll the way.

Head in the Clouds
HB and I ahve ours garaged and alarmed, the drive to our garage is locked with 8 foot high gates and barbed wire over the top. If they get past that and the the security shutter on the garage we`ve got a couple of crossbows so we can use the scum as a target!!

Hmm Alarm Mine..........

The Alarm Mine........

Though I echo the thoughts of the post about replacing the cartidge with a real one........Ahem, I wouldnt recommend it.....

However, placing said mine next to your old fishing tackle box with the occasional barbed fishing hook, lead weights etc... it dont half make a noise....and a mess of any potential miscreant......
