Hi I HAVE Dunlop Qualifiers on now and they have done 4000miles the front looks like new and the rear is barely square. They dont let go.

They are wearing better with me than the avons did as for grip im not sure. Its weired they do everything I ask without complaining in fact I dont know they are there which sounds bad.
I will get another set.

Come on you Hatters
Which Diablo's are we talking about? The Standard sports version or the Strada's? Just seems odd that they're being listed as a third popular option, as it seems rare for people to fit sports rubber rather than sport touring.

Mine came with macadams, but the front was shagged within a thousand miles of my ownership, didn't like the lack of feel/grip so as the rear was nearly new I fitted a Pilot Sport as it is an acceptable pairing according to Michelin (not necessarliy for a bird though, they actually only recomend the HPX version)
Pilot sport was ok when new and in the dry, but went off really quick, just after I'd fitted a new rear as well. Suffered it for a few thousand, but after one damp ride where I couldn't keep up with a mate on a sprint fitted with azzaro st's I ditched them. For what they cost, there just not good enough for my money.

First set of ST's were std ones, but still impressive after the pilot/macadam mix. Second rear followed, again std, but am now on B model, definately better, and seem to be lasting longer too. I even have a 'B' set fitted to my CB13, and there just as good on that.

The CB13 had Dunplop D220st's, fine till about 3000k, but the front wears really funny. It seems to leave the two radial bands unworn, just wears the tread to each side which eventually leaves a huge drop off the radial bit. Horrible. Did the switch at 4000k, wishing I'd done it sooner. Rode home in pouring rain, didn't even feel like they were new, kept having to tell myself to slow down, cos they felt so good, nothing like a new pair are supposed to till there run in.

I'm hoping to have a go on my mates Bird next week to see how his handles on metzeler Z6's. He rated them highly on his previous ZZR, so has fitted them to this one. Now I believe there pretty well the same tyre as the Diablo strada as mentioned earlier, and I used to run metz's Z3 front z4 rears on my old Bmw a few years back, and really liked them as they seem to really suit heavy bikes.

But more than likely I'll go for the new storm st's when needed. Like most people, I like what I'm used to as long as they work as well if not better than I expect them too.

Hugh.

I had 020 on mine but when i heard the brill comments about storms,i got jaws to replace them when they where due.I use my bike everyday all weather and do over 1000 miles month.Been on bike just under 4 months now just over 4000 miles, and they are miles ahead of the 020 they replaced.
Backend starting to move about abit now,due to middle of tyre gone in places, thought i would of got afew more miles out of them then that tho, must be too many fast starts.:yo:
