Anybody else wear hearing aids?

The missus convinced me (read nagged incessantly) to have my hearing checked a couple of months ago. I agreed only if she got tested as well.

My history was not good. Brother is completely dead in one ear & almost the same in the other. Spent 3 years as a kid drumming in a matching band, 2 years as a roadie & a further 3 as a sound engineer. I never wore ear plugs while riding until about 7 years ago after 30 years riding. Also spent a couple of years around the bike racing paddock.

Then the missus constantly moaned because I couldn't hear her & it was clearly down Tomy history.

Bottom line was...

Perfect hearing for me, missus hearing is impaired in one ear. Mind you, she still moans that my hearing is bad.

What was he doing at that altitude? Anything over 200 feet gives a nose bleed! Flat out at 150 knots in a dive with the X band orange harvest head nearly blowing off. I love it. Thanks, Alec.

I had a test years ago. I have a deaf spot consistent with damage due to jet engine noise. Funny that as I worked and travelled mostly on Shackletons.
