just bought a 05 in black,fine n dandy,runs very hot though,tween 97 n 102degrees!is this normal?got a carb model,98,dont run anywhere near as hot.ideas as to why its cooking my legs anyone?

Yeah my 02 FI model runs quite hot as well....I think this is normal....
On open roads runs at 80-85 deg which is the thermostat opening temp. However get caught up in traffic and it soon goes up to 97-102 and then the electric fan cuts in to cool it......

My previous RRY Fireblad was like this too, the cooling systems are quite small.....if anyone knows different though let us know?
